Portfolio Slices  We price the database according to portfolio slices.  Each slice is 5 years in length and contains all the instruments in the database.  In this way for a very reasonable cost the trader / tester can acquire a robust set of intra-day data in order to undertake analysis.  Each 5 year slice costs $800 and includes the compression software.   There are 5 sets of 5 year slices in the database covering 25 years.   Here are examples of how the slices are calculated: EG 1: Its June 2007 and you want to buy the latest 5 years slice... 1 Slice - :  May 2002 - May 2007   -   Total Cost $800.00 EG 2: Its July 2007 and you want to buy 10 years of data... 2 Slices - : June 1997 - June 2007   -   Total Cost $1600.00 EG 3: Its September 2007 and 3 months ago you bought as in EG 1 above, now you wish to buy 2 further slices... Your original slide would have run from May 2002 - May 2007, however we will upgrade that on your behalf at no charge. 1 Slice Upgrade - : August 2002 - June 2007   -   Cost $0.00 2 Slices - : August 1997 - August 2007   -   Cost $1600.00 Total Cost $1600.00 EG 4: Its June 2007 and you realise that the database is totally cool and you just cant live without it all Complete Database - : Total Cost $4000.00  Alternatively, we price by the stream at $250.00 per symbol.
